“Wood” Mixed Media on Paper. 8.5″ x 11″

I’m taking a class “Tangling with Nature” and this is Zentangle-inspired art exploring the element of “wood.”

I am constantly experimenting with zentangle patterns, colors, and shapes. I used a mandala pattern for this image and love how the muted colors work with lighter pen colors for the zentangle patterns. 

The chop was custom made for me by artist, Calvin Lee.

Although there is no Chinese representation for “Judy” I decided the representation of “cat” was a very appropriate symbol to use in my signature.
